Reading a clear explanation can feel like understanding, even when you cannot solve the next problem alone. A better study session gives you a chance to attempt the work before seeing the answer.
A practical way to start
State the topic, your level and one skill you want to practise. Ask for one question at a time. Explain that hints should come before a worked answer and that feedback should refer to your attempt.
Prompt to try
Help me practise beginner Python conditions. Give me one short exercise involving stock quantities. Wait for my attempt. If I am wrong, point to the first mistake and offer a hint before showing a solution. After I solve it, give a slightly different exercise.
Check the result
Run code yourself when possible. For other subjects, compare explanations with your course material. An assistant can make mistakes, so treat an unexpected answer as something to investigate rather than automatically memorise.
Finish by writing the rule in your own words and creating a new example. If you can explain why your example works, the session has produced more than a copied answer.
